Adrian Peterson finalized a contract with the New Orleans Saints for 2 years and $7 million.

He’s missed two of the last three seasons due to injuries.  Many teams avoided the 32 year old because they viewed him as damaged goods.  The seven time pro bowler and former NFL MVP will be playing with a chip on his shoulder after being low-balled during free agency by a multitude of teams.

The Saints signing Peterson was done to change their style to a more balanced offense and relieve pressure from aging quarterback Drew Brees.  They will be looking for their dual backfield in Ingram and Peterson to put them into the top 10 in rushing.  This re-vitalized offense will be trying to push the Saints to their first playoff appearance since 2013.
